DARKXEL

DarkXel is the project of Portuguese producer and DJ Axel Teixeira, born from a deep fascination with psychedelic electronic music. His first contact with this universe came in 2011, but it was in 2012-when he discovered psytrance-that he found his true sonic language. After beginning to mix in 2013, he launched the DarkXel project in 2016. Since then, he has released music on labels such as Alice-D Records, internationally recognized for curating artists within the darkpsy, hitech, and experimental scenes. Among his releases, the Clockwork Metaphysics EP stands out as a clear reflection of his distinct sonic aesthetic. DarkXel's music blends ethnic influences, tribal rhythms, and both digital and analog synthesis, creating psychedelic soundscapes with cinematic atmospheres. His intention goes beyond the dancefloor: he aims to activate deep states of consciousness, exploring the duality between light and darkness. With performances across Europe and Asia-including countries like Portugal, the UK, Italy, Spain, Thailand and India, DarkXel brings his sonic vision to rituals and festivals across multiple continents. His mission? To induce a state of synchronization between mind and spirit through sound.
